11-1-5: SUITABILITY OF LAND FOR SUBDIVIDING:
Lands subject to flooding, and land which is topographically unsuitable should not be subdivided for residential purposes, nor for such other uses as may increase danger to health, life or property, or aggravate erosion or flood hazard. The Plan Commission shall not approve the subdivision of land if upon adequate investigation conducted by the Plan Commission and the opinion of the Village Engineer, it has been determined by the Plan Commission that in the best interest of the public the site is not suitable for subdivision and development of the kind proposed.
