The 2006 edition of the International Building Code is hereby adopted by reference excluding any penalty provisions contained therein as and for the Building Code of the Village for all construction not subject to section 8-1-3 of this chapter. In the event of a conflict between the terms thereof and any provision set forth in this title, the more stringent provision shall govern, provided however, in the event of a conflict between the terms thereof and any provision set forth in the Illinois Plumbing Code, the provisions of the Illinois Plumbing Code shall govern, and provided further in the event of a conflict between the terms thereof and any provision set forth in the NFPA 70: National Electrical Code, the provisions of the NFPA 70: National Electrical Code shall govern.
