For all walls to be constructed of masonry veneer such as brick or stone, the veneer ties shall be preapplied to the adjacent inner wall or structure prior to the installation of the masonry veneer wall. The ties shall be preapplied to a height of at least five feet (5') above the first course of brick or stone, or to the next level of the scaffold to be used in conjunction with the installation of the veneer, whichever is higher. Any masonry veneer wall which is constructed without the preapplication of the veneer ties shall be deemed defective and must be removed and reinstalled. (Ord. 2007-737, 8-21-2007, eff. 10-1-2007)
