It shall be unlawful for any person to obstruct justice with intent to prevent the apprehension or obstruct the prosecution or defense of any person, by knowingly committing any of the following acts:
A. Destroys, alters, conceals, or disguises physical evidence, plants false evidence, furnishes false information; or
B. Induces a witness having knowledge material to a criminal investigation to leave the state or conceal himself to avoid divulging such information; or
C. While possessing knowledge material to a criminal investigation, he leaves the state or conceals himself to avoid divulging such information. (Ord. 2004-653, 3-2-2004)
