4-2-1: DEFINITIONS:
As used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
PERSON: An individual, corporation, association, partnership or any other legal entity.
RECYCLABLES: Newspaper; green, brown or clear glass; aluminum and tin cans and high density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic jugs or bottles.
SWALCO: The solid waste agency of Lake County, Illinois.
SCAVENGER: A commercial entity which collects solid waste, recyclables and yard waste from individuals and businesses and disposes of the waste by depositing the waste at a landfill or any other lawful means, including recycling and incineration.
SOLID WASTE: Garbage, trash, metal cans, glass, papers, foodstuffs, vegetable matters, discarded household goods and any other similar matter.
VILLAGE: The village of Wadsworth, Lake County, Illinois.
YARD WASTE: Grass clippings, branches, mulch, shrubs, sod, trees (not to exceed 6 inches in diameter) or any other similar matter. (Ord. 2013-905, 8-20-2013)
