(A) It is the purpose of this section to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare through reasonable and consistent regulation of short term rental dwelling units within the city.
(B) No person shall conduct business as a short-term rental dwelling unit owner or operator without first having obtained a license from the city by submitting an application to the City Clerk as described below. Each individual short term rental dwelling unit shall require a license.
(C) Any operation of a short term rental dwelling unit without first obtaining a license for the short term rental dwelling unit with the city is a violation of this chapter and a misdemeanor punishable pursuant to § 10.99.
