(A) Unless emergency circumstances otherwise require, special counsel shall, with respect to any ongoing litigation matter, obtain the approval of the Township Committee prior to the filing of any substantive pleading on the township’s behalf in any such litigation.
(B) For the purposes of this section, a PLEADING shall include but shall not be limited to: the complaint, the answer, a counterclaim, and/or any dispositive motions or motions requesting monetary or injunctive relief and/or damages.
