(A) Upon the determination of the Township Police Department (the Department) that weather conditions, accidents, fires, police emergencies or public or private celebrations dictate or require avoidance of hazards or other conditions which interfere with the free flow of traffic, the Department is hereby authorized to establish temporary no parking on any Township street or sections of streets affected thereby. Notification that such no parking zones are being established shall be given to the operator or owner of any vehicle parked in such areas prior to the establishment of such zones. Temporary no parking zones shall be designated by the posting of signs clearly indicating the temporary no parking of vehicles and the area or areas covered by the temporary parking restrictions, as required by state and local law.
(B) Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in violation of the temporary no parking established by the Department shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic and any police officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner of any vehicle removed pursuant to this ordinance shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage of such vehicle that results from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.
