Preference for employment in all positions with the Township, which employment requires the applicant to pass an open, competitive examination to be eligible for such employment, wherever possible and as the Township Committee deems appropriate, shall be given to applicants who are full-time residents of the Township at the time of application, as of the announced closing date of the examination and from the announced closing date up to and including the date of appointment.
