Claims shall be considered by the Township Committee which shall approve the same by signing the Clerk's list of bills, and a copy of the list of bills shall be retained by the Township Chief Financial Officer, except that the Township Committee may reject any claim presented to it stating the reason for such rejection. Any disapproved claim shall be referred back to the Municipal Clerk with such instructions as the governing body may give at the time of disapproval.
