Funds collected by the Municipal Court Clerk for application fees and fees for services rendered that are paid by indigent defendants shall be deposited into a dedicated fund administered by the Chief Financial Officer of the Township. Such funds shall be used exclusively to meet the costs incurred in providing the services of Municipal Public Defender including, when required, expert and lay investigation and testimony. Beginning on January 1, 1999, those funds collected which exceed more than 25% of the amount which the Municipality expended during the prior year for providing the services of the Municipal Public Defender shall be forwarded to the Criminal Disposition and Review Collection Fund administered by the Victims of Crime Compensation Board.
