There shall be created the position of Construction Official, who shall be licensed under and who is to be the chief administrator and shall supervise the daily operations and administrations of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code. The Construction Official may be assisted by subcode officials and inspectors, both of whom must be licensed by the State of New Jersey.
