A. Program Adopted: Pursuant to article 11, public works, buildings and property, division 73 of the Illinois municipal code, the city does hereby adopt a forestry program for the establishment and maintenance of a long term forestry program for the propagation and preservation of community trees and for the removal of dead or diseased trees. B. Tax Imposed: An annual tax of not to exceed five hundredths percent (0.05%) of the full fair cash value of all taxable property in the city shall be levied for the establishment and carrying out of the forestry program. This tax shall be in addition to all taxes authorized by law to be levied and collected in the city and shall be in addition to the amount authorized to be levied for general city purposes.
