There is hereby created the Virginia commission for economic development. Said commission shall be organized and operated as follows:
A. The mayor shall, with the advice and consent of the city council, appoint two (2) citizens of the city to one year terms and three (3) citizens of the city to two (2) year terms to the council of the Virginia commission for economic development.
B. Any concerned and interested resident of the city may be a member of the commission and be entitled to have both voice and vote at all commission meetings.
C. The mayor of the city shall be an ex officio member of the council.
D. The mayor may, from time to time, appoint other ex officio members of the council. (Ord., 10-2-1989)
