11-2-8: PARKING FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES:
   A.   Designation Of Spots: The following parking spaces are designated as parking spaces for persons with disabilities:
The four (4) parking spaces immediately west of the existing handicapped parking space in front of the Presbyterian church.
The parking space immediately in front of the City Hall, 153 South Front Street, Virginia, Illinois.
Two (2) additional parking spots on the north side of Beardstown Street, between Front Street and Main Street, and as close as practical to an existing wheelchair ramp located on the sidewalk running parallel to Beardstown Street.
One additional parking spot on the west side of Beardstown Street, between Front Street and Main Street, and as close as practical to an existing crosswalk running across Beardstown Street. (Ord. 03-05, 8-11-2003; amd. Ord. 05-01, 1-10-2005; Ord. 12-19, 10-9-2012; Ord. 2016-11, 10-10-2016)
   B.   Usage And Penalty: Parking in said spots is permitted only when the disabled person is present, the vehicle is being used for his/her transportation, and the persons with a disability parking permit issued by the appropriate governmental body is displayed. The fine for unauthorized use of said parking spots shall be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). (Ord. 12-19, 10-9-2012)
