Every driver operating a vehicle on a street within the city shall drive the same in a careful and prudent manner and at all times have the vehicle under control and at a rate of speed not more than twenty five (25) miles per hour unless otherwise posted. (1925 Code § 35-1; amd. 2009 Code)
