A. The city clerk is hereby authorized and empowered to grant, without the payment of the license fee, licenses to all persons entitled to peddlers' licenses by any law of the state or the United States. (1925 Code § 23-6; amd. 2009 Code)
B. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all peddlers engaged in peddling goods, wares or merchandise; provided, however, the same shall not apply to anyone offering for sale products of farms or orchards, except meats, and also except products of farms and orchards shipped into the city in carload lots.
