6-1-2: ADOPTION OF PROVISIONS:
In order to conserve the value of property in the city, and to the end that building development may be directed to the best advantage of the entire community, that adequate light, pure air and safety from fire and other dangers may be lessened or avoided, and that the public health, safety, comfort, morals and welfare may otherwise be promoted in accordance with a well considered plan for the use and development of all property throughout the city, the city hereby adopts the Virginia zoning ordinance.
