Longevity Pay. All employees classified as full-time of the city shall receive a reward for continued years of service as determined and appropriated by Council in each year's budget.

All hours over 40 hours. Employees shall receive 1.5 x hourly rate or compensatory time off per FLSA.
Miscellaneous.
The base starting salary for Department Heads, with the exception of the Police Chief and the Fire Chief, shall be at the discretion of the Mayor.
Employees will be reimbursed mileage equal to state employees for the use of a personal vehicle in connection with authorized job responsibilities.
The members of the Board of Public Works and Safety who are elected officials, and the City Attorney, are not eligible for compensation as members. The city employees serving as members of the Board of Public Works and Safety whose offices or principal duties are not in the City Hall are entitled to compensation.
Employees of the Parks and Recreation Department: an additional $0.05 to $0.10 may be added to a returning part-time employee's hourly rate at the Director's discretion.
All employees are paid bi-weekly every other Friday. Each paycheck will include earnings for all work performed through the end of the previous payroll period.
The salary herein fixed for the City Attorney does not include legal services connected with a bond issue, a utilities rate adjustment, condemnation proceedings for rights-of-way or litigation services beyond the defense of city ordinances. Such legal service shall be compensated additionally as determined by the Mayor and the Board of Public Works and Safety or other involved agencies.
