§ 33.44 SOLICITATION FOR FAVORED APPOINTMENT OR REINSTATEMENT; INELIGIBILITY; COMMISSIONER OR MEMBER AIDING ANY APPLICANT.
Any applicant who personally or through any other person solicits any member of the commission to favor his appointment or reinstatement to such force, shall be thereby rendered ineligible for all time to any such appointment to the police department. A commissioner or officer who knowingly furnishes information to an applicant for original appointment or to a member eligible for promotion that gives that person an advantage over another person violates this subchapter and state statute and may be punished accordingly.
