The city, acting through its Streets and Sanitation Department, shall provide a curbside, roadside, or alley trash collection service to residents located within the city. Such trash collection services shall be provided on a weekly basis by the city. The weekly schedule shall be subject to change necessitated by special circumstances, including but not limited to: holidays; special events, weather, or equipment breakdown; any changes in the weekly schedule will be announced by the city, in advance, if possible, to the local news media.
