To be eligible for collection by the city, trash must be contained within trash bags not to exceed 33 gallon capacity and at least 1.2 mil thick. Bags may contain no more than 35 pounds of trash. Affixed to each such bag shall be an official trash collection sticker or emblem. Official city trash collection stickers will be sold for $1.25 each and will be available from the city or approved commercial vendors; no other receptacle, containers, or bags containing trash will be collected by the city pursuant to the trash collection service. The $1.25 per sticker fee or emblem shall be used to defray the costs of providing the trash collection service, county landfill tipping fees, education on solid waste disposal and recycling and composting costs, labor and equipment costs.
