(A) To be eligible for collection by the city, all trash must be placed within and enclosed within a properly tagged trash bag of the specified size and weight. The bag must be closed and tied tightly, torn bags or loose trash will not be collected. Authorized stickers or emblems must be prominently displayed and permanently affixed to the trash bag. If the stickers are not readily visible to the sanitation worker, the bag or bags will not be collected.
(B) Hedge and/or tree trimmings, if securely tied in bundles, not exceeding one foot in diameter and five feet in length, will be eligible for collection at special request on designated days. A composting area will be made available for yard waste. Animal waste consisting of dog droppings or cat litter must be double bagged. The 35 pound limit must be observed if combining animal waste with other trash.
