§ 52.31  CONNECTION PERMIT REQUIRED; INSPECTION; FEE.
   (A)   Permit required.  No connections with the city water system shall be made without a permit issued by the Director of the Department of Public Works.  Application for the permit shall be made at least 24 hours in advance of the connection and shall be accompanied by the payment of the permit fee.
   (B)   Inspections.  All connections with the city water system shall be made under the supervision of the Director of Public Works.  No connections shall be covered until the work has been inspected by him or some other person authorized by him to make the inspection.  No connection permit shall be issued until the inspection has been made and the applicant has fulfilled the requirements of this chapter and has met any minimum specifications required by the Director of Public Works.
   (C)   Permit fee.  There is hereby established a fee of $50 for a permit to connect to the city’s water system.  Payment of the fee shall be waived if the connection shall be made at the same time the city installs the service pipe to the property line as provided by § 52.30.
