§ 37.072  DRESS CODE.
   An employee will wear attire appropriate to his or her job functions. An employee working out of the shop is not expected to be neat and clean at all times because of the demanding nature of the job; however, the employee will report to work in clean clothes in good repair. Office personnel will wear designated shirts provided by the city. Shorts or skirts are permitted, so long as they are no shorter than the mid-point of his or her inseam length from groin to knee. If an employee is in question as to what is appropriate, he or she may inquire of his or her supervisor. Police officers will, unless called out on an emergency, wear their complete uniforms at all times while on duty. Employees in the Public Works Department will wear designated shirts provided by the city during their working hours. Items provided to any employee shall remain city property and shall not be altered in any way.
