§ 30.35  APPROVAL; VETO OF ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS AND MOTIONS; OVERRIDE OF VETO.
   (A)   All resolutions and motions which create any liability against the city or which provide for the expenditure or appropriation of money and all ordinances passed by the City Council are subject to the approval of the Mayor.  If the Mayor approves of them, he or she shall sign them.
   (B)   The Mayor may disapprove of any 1 or more terms appropriated in any ordinance, resolution or motion making an appropriation, and, if so, the remainder shall be effective.  However, the Mayor may disapprove entirely of an ordinance, resolution or motion making an appropriation.  Those of which he or she disapproves, he or she shall return to the City Council with his written objections at the next regular meeting of the City Council occurring not less than 5 days after their passage.
   (C)   If the Mayor disapproves of an ordinance or specified resolution or motion, the City Council, upon receipt of the Mayor’s written objections, shall reconsider the same, and if, after the reconsideration,  of all the Aldermen then holding office agree to pass the ordinance, resolution, or motion over the Mayor’s veto, then it shall be effective.
