The Code Enforcement Officer shall administer and enforce the Fire Codes and Building Codes of the City. The Code Enforcement Officer shall have the authority and power to issue citations to any persons, who violate such Fire Codes and Building Codes and to revoke, suspend or cancel any permit issued by him which has been violated. Any notice of revocation, suspension or cancellation of such permit shall be in writing and shall state the reasons therefor. The Code Enforcement Officer shall, in addition to those other officials designated by ordinance, have authority to issue permits for burning as provided in Article 1509 of the Codified Ordinances. Any such permit for burning issued by the Code Enforcement Officer shall be enforced by him in accordance with the provisions contained herein. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to limit the powers, duties and authority of Code Enforcement Officer provided by ordinances adopted prior hereto.
