§ 93.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates, or requires, a different meaning.
   PARADE. Any march, demonstration, procession, street solicitation, or motorcade consisting of persons, animals, or vehicles, or a combination thereof, upon the streets, sidewalks, parks, or other public grounds within the town with an intent of attracting public attention that interferes with, or has a tendency to interfere with, the normal flow or regulation of traffic upon the streets, sidewalks, parks, or other public grounds.
   PARADE OR PUBLIC ASSEMBLY OR SOLICITATION PERMIT. A permit as required by this chapter.
   PERSON. Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company, or organization of any kind.
   PUBLIC ASSEMBLY. Any meeting, demonstration, picket line, rally, or gathering of more than five persons for a common purpose as a result of prior planning that interferes with, or has a tendency to interfere with, the normal flow or regulation of pedestrian or vehicular traffic or occupies any public area in a place open to the general public/pedestrian or vehicular traffic, or occupies any public area in a place open to the general public.
   PUBLIC SOLICITATION. Soliciting on a public right-of-way, street, highway, alley, sidewalk, or park owned, operated, or under the control of a government unit.
   SIDEWALK. Any area or way set aside or open to the general public for purposes of pedestrian traffic, whether or not it is paved.
   SOLICITATION. Seeking to obtain gifts or contributions for the support or benefit of any charitable or nonprofit association, organization, corporation, or project, and seeking to distribute any advertising, literature, or other material.
   STREET. Any place or way set aside or open to the general public for purposes of vehicular traffic, including any berm or shoulder, parkway, right-of-way, or median strip thereof.
   TOWN. The Town of Vevay, Indiana.
   TOWN COUNCIL. The Council for the town.
