§ 100.01 NUMBERED ADDRESS OF STRUCTURES.
   (A)   All residences, mobile homes, offices and businesses, and also to include all structures with telephone service, located within the legal boundaries of the city are hereby required to have visible and legible on the structure, or on a sign post in close proximity to the structure, the numbered address of the structure corresponding to the street or road (public or private) on which the structure is located, as listed by the United States Postal Service.
   (B)   The numbered addresses of each structure shall be displayed with numbers at least three (3) inches high and one-half (1/2) inch wide.
   (C)   The numbers shall be displayed so as to be clearly visible and legible from the street or road (public or private) by approaching emergency vehicles.
   (D)   The numbers shall be affixed to the structure or upon a post which is visible from the approaching emergency vehicles and able to withstand the elements.
   (E)   That the owner of each residence, office or business shall be responsible for placement of each numbered address on his or her property within sixty (60) days of the passage of this chapter or within ten (10) days of new occupancy, if the new occupancy occurs after the initial sixty (60) day grace period.
   (F)   If the numbered address is not properly placed within the aforementioned time period, the city may, in its discretion, through a duly appointed and designated representative of the Mayor's office, send written notice to the property owner, occupant or building manager of the real property requiring placement of the numbered address within ten (10) days.
   (G)   Any property owner, occupant or building manager, after being notified of the numbered address requirement as provided by this chapter, who fails to properly display the numbered address, shall be subject to being cited or summoned to the Woodford District Criminal Court, and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more than $100,000 for each offense. Each day's continuance, after the property owner, occupant or building manager has been notified of the provisions of this chapter, shall constitute a separate offense, and a separate fine may be imposed therefore. The city shall have discretion to prosecute either the property owner, occupant or building manager under the terms of this provision.
