It shall be unlawful for any person to spit upon the sidewalk or any public street, avenue, public square, or place in the city, or upon the floor of any hall or office of any hotel or lodging house which is used in common by the public, or upon the floor of any streetcar or other public conveyance used as a common carrier of passengers.
