§ 97.05 DISPLAY OF MERCHANDISE.
   (A)   No person shall display, place, or cause to be displayed or placed upon any public sidewalk or street any goods, wares, or merchandise, except in a space not more than 15 feet long and immediately adjoining the building of the person displaying the same and as near as possible to the actual storeroom of the person displaying such goods, wares, or merchandise. In no event shall any such items extend out onto the street or sidewalk more than two feet from the store building. However, this prohibition shall not apply to auction sales conducted on the courthouse square or to auction sales at such other places as are permitted by the Chief of Police. No article shall be set or left on such street or sidewalk for a longer period than 12 hours.

   (B)   Except as otherwise provided, no person shall store or leave on the sidewalk or street, any merchandise or goods for longer than six hours.
