§ 72.02 SIGNALS TO BE SOUNDED ON APPROACH TO CERTAIN CROSSINGS.
   The person operating of having charge or control of any railroad car, locomotive, or train passing into or through any portion of the city, in approaching an intersection or crossing of any public way or turnpike road within the city by the railroad, shall blow and sound the usual crossing signal while not than 300 yards nor less than 100 yards from such intersection or crossing, and shall begin to ring the bell of the locomotive when not less than 100 yards from such intersection or crossing and continue to ring the same until the public way or turnpike road has been crossed.
