   (A) For purposes of this section, the following term shall have the following meaning unless the context requires otherwise.    (B) A designated parking space for persons with disabilities in any parking area other than a public street shall be marked permanently with a metal, vinyl or durable wood sign the dimensions of which are at least 12 inches by 18 inches and which is attached to a pole at least 48 inches but not more than 60 inches, measured from the bottom of the sign, above the ground; provided, however, that the sign may be affixed to any wall immediately adjacent to a sidewalk which abuts a parking space for persons with disabilities. All parking space signs for persons with disabilities shall be marked with the international symbol of accessibility.
   (C) Parking space signs for persons with disabilities which do not meet the requirements of division (B) above shall be brought into compliance within 60 days of July 31, 1989; however, signs which meet all criteria except color may be brought into compliance by affixing a blue and white decal using the international symbol of accessibility on the face of the sign.
   (D) Any person failing to provide or maintain required parking space signs for persons with disabilities shall be fined not less than $10 nor more than $100 for each missing or nonmaintained sign.
