§ 31.11 ESTABLISHMENT.
   (A)   The Mayor shall have all of the powers and duties set forth in KRS 83A.130.
   (B)   The Mayor shall be designated as the Alcoholic Beverage Control Administrator.
   (C)   The office of Mayor shall be a full-time position and shall preclude the Mayor from holding any other employment. As used in this section, “employment” does not include the holding of any positions or appointments to boards, commissions, authorities, or other organizations that are held by virtue of the occupancy of the office of Mayor or the holding of any position or appointment without compensation that would advance the public service and public purposes of the City.
   (D)   Compensation.
      (1)   Beginning January 1, 2019, the Mayor shall receive an annual salary of $ 66,500, which shall be adjusted each July 1 to reflect the annual increase or decrease of the consumer price index for the preceding year as determined by the Department for Local Government in accordance with KRS 83A.075. In no event shall the Mayor’s salary exceed the maximum established for the office by the Department for Local Government in accordance with KRS 83A.070.
      (2)   The Mayor’s salary shall be paid in twenty-six (26) equal payments.
