§ 130.14 DUTY TOWARD POLICE OFFICERS.
   (A)   Refusing to obey the command of an officer. No person shall refuse to obey the command and direction of any police officer or peace officer who may be doing duty for the purpose of preserving order and enforcing this code, or the laws of South Dakota.
   (B)   Impersonating officer. It shall be unlawful for any person, not duly authorized to exercise the duties conferred by law upon police officers of this city, to wear a police officer’s badge or represent himself or herself as being a police officer or peace officer, or attempt to exercise the duties of a police officer or peace officer in the city.
   (C)   Resisting an officer. No person or persons shall rescue or take from the custody of any police officer or watchman, nor prevent the arrest of, any person, nor resist, oppose, obstruct, or impede any member of the police in the discharge of his or her duty in the city.
   (D)   Refusing to assist an officer. No person shall refuse to assist any police officer in making any arrest when lawfully required by the Chief of Police or any police officer.
