§ 130.10 DISCHARGING FIREARMS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge or shoot off any gun, pistol, air gun, other firearm, or other device forcing through the air missiles or projectiles of any character within the limits of the city.
   (B)   Exceptions.
      (1)   Shall not apply to law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties.
      (2)   Shall not apply to city animal control officers in the performance of their duties.
      (3)   Shooting galleries approved by the City Manager or designee and authorized by the Police Chief or designee, provided that such range or shooting gallery is so installed, constructed, safeguarded, equipped and used as to adequately prevent any bullet, shot, or missile from being projected beyond the confines of such range or shooting gallery where the use thereof does not endanger any person.
      (4)   Special events, demonstrations or recurring events approved by the City Manager or designee and authorized by the Police Chief or designee for a designated period of time, not to exceed 1 year. Each range or shooting gallery will be properly insured, installed, constructed, safeguarded, equipped and used as to adequately prevent any bullet, shot, or missile from being projected beyond the confines of such range or shooting gallery.
