§ 70.198 ENFORCEMENT.
   (A)   Generally. It shall be the duty of any law enforcement officer authorized by law to enforce the provisions of this subchapter and to keep account of all violations of this subchapter.
   (B)   Specifically.
      (1)   When any vehicle is illegally parked, it shall have attached thereto a notice stating that it has been parked in violation of this chapter, and directing the owner or operator to enclose an amount set by resolution in the envelope upon which notice shall be written and deposit the same in overtime courtesy boxes located within the parking meter zone.
      (2)   If the amount is not deposited in the courtesy box or taken to the Vermillion Police Department at 15 Washington Street within 48 hours after the notice is placed upon the vehicle, the penalty to be enclosed or deposited or delivered to the Police Department shall be an amount set by resolution.
      (3)   If the owner or operator fails to comply with either of the above options, then in that case summons will be issued and the penalty for the overtime parking shall be an amount set by resolution.
