§ 70.055 ACCIDENT PROCEDURE.
   (A)   Duty to stop. The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury or death to any person or damage to property shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall give his or her name, address, and the registration number of his or her vehicle to some person in the vehicle collided with.
   (B)   Duty to report; driver. The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury or death to any person or property damage to the apparent extent of $1,000 or more to any 1 person’s property, or $2,000 per accident, shall immediately, by the quickest means of communication, give notice of the accident to the nearest available peace officer who has jurisdiction.
   (C)   Duty to report; garage keeper. The person in charge of any garage or repair shop to which is brought any motor vehicle which shows evidence of having been involved in a serious accident or struck by any bullet shall report to police headquarters of the city within 24 hours after the motor vehicle is received, giving the engine number, registration number, and the name and address of the owner or driver of the vehicle.
