§ 51.04ELECTRIC SUPERINTENDENT ; DUTIES.
   (A)   The Electric Superintendent is hereby authorized and empowered to regulate, make, and determine the placing and installing of electrical wiring in and on buildings in this city so as to prevent fires, accidents, or injuries to persons or property and to cause all electrical appliances to be so placed or constructed and guarded as not to cause accidents or endanger lives or property.
   (B)   Whenever, in the judgment of the Electric Superintendent, any electrical wiring or appliances should be defective or dangerous, the Electric Superintendent shall inform the owner of the property containing the defective wiring or appliance to correct or remove the same.
   (C)   If the defective wiring or appliances have not been corrected forthwith, the Electric Superintendent may cause the building affected to be disconnected from the city electrical supply.
   (D)   To carry out his or her duties, the Electric Superintendent shall have the right at all times to enter any building, manhole, or subway, or to climb any pole upon which wires are placed or to be placed in discharge of his or her duty for the purpose of making any tests or inspection of electrical wiring or appliances therein contained.
