§ 31.08 CITY ENGINEER; DUTIES.
   (A)   The duties of the City Engineer shall be such as are prescribed by the laws of the state and other provisions of this code, and those further duties as are incident to the office. The definition of CITY ENGINEER as defined in this code shall include UTILITY ENGINEER.
   (B)   He or she shall keep accurate plats or maps of the electrical, sewerage, and waterworks systems of the city, and shall at all times keep the same up to date by noting on the plats or maps each extension of or connection with the electrical, sewerage, and waterworks systems. All plats, maps, field notes, records, surveys, and other documents, made or compiled by him or her or his or her predecessor in office, which in any way pertain to the office, shall be the property of the city and shall be delivered to his or her successor in office.
