The municipal corporation now existing in the Counties of Erie and Lorain and State of Ohio and known as the City of Vermilion, Ohio, shall continue to be a body politic and corporate under the name of the City of Vermilion or Village of Vermilion according to the classification of municipalities under the Constitution and laws of the State of Ohio then in effect. The provisions of this Charter shall apply whether this Municipality is a village or a city.
