(a) The position of Information Technology Coordinator is hereby established in the unclassified service of the City and within the Department of Finance.
(b) The Information Technology Coordinator shall be appointed by the Mayor. He or she shall be under the direction and control of the Mayor but shall report on the day-to-day activities of the position to the Director of Finance.
(c) The Mayor shall establish job specifications for the Information Technology Coordinator position, which specifications shall include the following, among others: coordinating, managing, and strategic planning of the efficient operation of the City's information technology software, hardware, and network; training, orienting, and educating City employees in the proper operation of the City's information technology assets; and ability to maintain total confidentiality and use judgment consistent with the highest ethical standards.
(d) The Information Technology Coordinator shall receive such compensation as Council shall, from time to time, provide.
