(a) Designation of the Floodplain Administrator. The City Engineer is hereby appointed to administer and implement these regulations and is referred to herein as the Floodplain Administrator.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities of the Floodplain Administrator. The duties and responsibilities of the Floodplain Administrator shall include but are not limited to:
(1) Evaluate applications for permits to develop in special flood hazard areas.
(2) Interpret floodplain boundaries and provide flood hazard and flood protection elevation information.
(3) Make recommendation to City Building Department on whether the application for permit meets the provisions of these regulations or refuse to issue the same in the event of noncompliance.
(4) Coordinate map maintenance activities and FEMA follow-up.
