1466.06 REROOFING REGULATIONS.
   (a)   In the application of new shingles or reroofing installations, such new material shall not be applied over:
(1)   Two existing previous roof applications.
(2)   Existing slate, wood shingle, asbestos or metal roofing.
 
   (b)   If any of the above conditions exist, the present roof shall be removed down to the basic roof structure and new fifteen pound roofer's felt shall be applied prior to the new roof installation.
 
   (c)   All valleys, chimney flashing, dormer flashing or any other metal components shall be replaced in a proper manner with new metal flashing equivalent to twenty gauge steel, except in over-roofing, where ninety pound mineral surface roll roofing may be used.
 
   (d)   New roofing shall be installed on a roof structure of at least greater than 3-12 pitch; below this pitch a roll roofing method shall be used as per manufacturer's specifications and as approved by the Building Inspector.
