1250.11 STREET PAVEMENT SPECIFICATIONS.
   (a)   The compacted subgrade shall be approved earth and comply with the State of Ohio Department of Transportation specifications Item 203, "Roadway Excavation and Embankment". (Ord. 76-5. Passed 2-2-76.)
 
   (b)   The requirements for a public roadway in a residential district shall be the minimum pavement width of twenty-eight feet measured from back of curb to back of curb. The concrete pavement shall be reinforced Portland cement concrete pavement of a uniform thickness of seven inches, in accordance with the latest edition of the State of Ohio Construction and Material Specifications, Item 451. The pavement shall be installed on a three-inch thick compacted sub-base in accordance with ODOT Item 310 (as per the 1997 edition) or approved equal.
   The requirements for a public roadway in a Commercial or Industrial District shall be the minimum pavement width of twenty-nine feet measured from back of curb to back of curb. The concrete pavement shall be reinforced Portland cement concrete payment of a uniform thickness of nine inches, in accordance with the latest edition of the State of Ohio Construction and Material Specifications, Item 451. The pavement shall be installed on a three-inch thick compacted sub-base in accordance with ODOT Item 310 (as per the 1997 edition) or approved equal.

   (c)   The longitudinal center construction joints for the concrete pavement shall have a three-inch by one-inch key, one-half inch diameter by three-foot long deformed billet steel bars spaced thirty inches on centers and one and one-half inch by one-quarter inch asphalt filled joint.
 
   (d)   The transverse construction joints for the concrete pavement shall have a three-inch by one-inch key and a one and one-half inch by one-quarter inch asphalt filled joint. The slab shall be ten inches thick, with a length of taper not less than twenty-four inches in length.
   (e)   The transverse contraction joints for the concrete pavement shall be spaced not more than fifteen feet on centers and shall consist of a two and one-half inch by one-quarter inch asphalt filled joint.
 
   (f)   The expansion joints for the concrete pavement shall be placed at all intersections and shall have three-quarter inch diameter by twenty-four inch long sleeved round smooth dowel bars painted and greased, spaced fifteen inches on centers and a three-quarter inch joint.    (g)   The pavement shall have an integral mountable curb in accordance with ODOT Item 609.04. The pavement shall have a rigid four-inch diameter perforated underdrain installed in accordance with ODOT Item 605.
