(a) The approval and acceptance of the improvements will be based upon proper installation in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and all requirements of these Regulations as reported by the City Engineer, payment to the City for the cost of all inspection and tests and receipt by the Clerk of Council of an acceptable maintenance bond in the amount of five percent of the performance bond. The maintenance bond shall guarantee the performance of the improvement for a period of one year after acceptance by Council.
The bond shall clearly define the work, and shall refer to construction drawing numbers, the street and subdivision in which the installation is located, and lineal feet of improvement installed.
No new sewers or water mains and/or appurtenances shall be opened to existing systems until the new installation has been accepted by Council.
