1250.07 CONSTRUCTION PLANS; WATER MAINS.
   (a)   All materials used and the installation of those materials shall be in accordance with Section 1250.13. (Ord. 850. Passed 7-1-63.)
   (b)   Fire hydrants shall be placed at a maximum of 300-foot intervals in residential areas and 200-foot intervals in commercial or industrial areas.

   (c)   There shall be four control valves at each cross-intersection and three control valves at each tee-intersection, also a valve ahead of each fire hydrant installation. (Ord. 850. Passed 7-1-63.)
 
   (d)   Water mains shall be located eighteen feet from the center line of the street or as directed by the City Engineer. Dead ends will not be permitted where it is possible to obtain a closed circuit to proposed or existing mains.
   All hydrants, plugs, caps, ties, and bends deflecting twenty-two and one-half degrees or more on mains eight inches or larger in diameter shall be provided with concrete reaction backing which shall be so placed that joints will be accessible for repair. Such backing shall be of suitable design and the details shown on the drawings. (Ord. 76-5. Passed 2-2-76.)
 
   (e)   The size of water mains to be installed in the new system will be determined by the City.
 
   (f)   All water service branches from the water mains to the houses will be installed in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Vermilion Water Bureau.
 
   (g)   The water line system shall comply with the City of Vermilion Standards for Waterline Details. (Ord. 850. Passed 7-1-63.)
