1060.07 REPURCHASE OF LOTS BY CITY.
Whenever any owner of a cemetery lot or grave space in a cemetery that is owned and operated by the City, which lot or space is originally purchased from the City after the effective date of this section (Ordinance 82-63, passed December 20, 1982), desires to sell the lot or space, the City shall have the first right to repurchase the lot or space by paying to such owner the price at which the lot or space was purchased from the City, less twenty-five percent. If the City, by the Director of Public Service, declines to repurchase the lot or space, the same may be sold to any person for any price.
The Director shall make an appropriate notation of this requirement on all deeds for lots and spaces that are henceforth sold by the City.
If any lots or spaces are sold by the owners without complying with this section, the City may refuse to recognize the sale and transfer of ownership and may refuse to permit the use of the lot or space as a burial site.
