660.15 BUNGEE JUMPING.
   (a)   Defined. As used in this section, "bungee jumping" means jumping from a position of height and having one's fall interrupted by a stretching tether device only, and then remaining suspended from such tether until assisted to a point of safety.
 
   (b)   Prohibited. No person shall engage in bungee jumping, or, alone or acting in concert with any other person, aid, assist or abet, either for hire or not, another person to engage in bungee jumping, upon premises within the corporate limits which are owned or controlled by the City and over which premises the City has jurisdiction, including the navigable portion of the Vermilion River. This prohibition shall not pertain to property privately owned or controlled, but in no event does this City endorse or encourage such practice if undertaken.
 
   (c)   Penalty. Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 698.02.
