(a) No person shall keep or harbor a horse, domestic farm animal, livestock, chicken or other fowl on any lot within the Municipality unless a stable, barn or shed to retain such animal exists on such lot. Such stable, barn or shed shall meet the requirements of applicable building and zoning ordinances, shall be kept in a sanitary condition and shall not be nearer than one hundred (100) feet to any lot line and not nearer than one hundred fifty (150) feet to any street.
(b) Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
All properties that currently exist must come in compliance with the Codified Ordinances of Vermilion by August 1, 2004.
Any “kennels” that currently exists must come in compliance with the Codified Ordinances of Vermilion by January 1, 2000.
